Mary "Ruth" Eggemeyer

Mary "Ruth" Eggemeyer, age 96, of Covington, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Born on August 4, 1928, in Covington, she was the cherished daughter of Francis D. and Mary Elizabeth Eggemeyer (née Herzog).

Ruth is preceded in death by her loving parents, Francis D. and Mary Elizabeth Eggemeyer. She is survived by her dear sister, Vera Jean Heskamp, her brother, James D. (Mary Joan) Eggemeyer, and a host of other family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

Throughout her life, Ruth found joy in her family and nurturing children. She was an adventurous soul, embracing life by traveling and experiencing thrilling activities, including skydiving in her 80s and hot air ballooning. She was a passionate Rummikub player, and she also enjoyed the beauty of dance, participating in both ballroom and line dancing.

A graveside service to honor Ruth will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, with a visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, located at 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Burial will follow at Mother of God Cemetery, 3125 Madison Ave, Covington, KY 41015.
