Ms. Mary Ann Fulghum, 78, of Royston, GA passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Ms. Fulghum was born in Toccoa, GA on April 15, 1947, daughter of the late Robert Verner Fulghum and the late Annie Mozelle South Fulghum Nash. She was a proud retired educator having taught hundreds, if not thousands, of children during her career. Ms. Fulghum also loved gardening and had a “green thumb” that was the envy of many. She loved socializing with her numerous lifelong friends and her immediate and extended family.
She recently rekindled an interest in sewing which she has done quite a lot over the years. She was always interested in various arts and crafts and was very talented in many areas. Ms. Fulghum did a lot of canning and preserving and always looked forward to getting fresh peaches, green beans, or other fruits and vegetables at their peak seasons to share with friends and family. She’ll be sorely missed and fondly remembered by her loving family and close friends, as well as countless lives she touched over the years spent raising her children and educating her students.
Survivors include her children, Sherry Crutchfield (Chuck) of Yulee, FL, Tracie Dove (Tom Druce) of Green Cove Springs, FL, and William S. Dove, Jr. (Monica) of Royston; siblings that she loved dearly, Michael Fulghum (Pam) of Royston, Becky Dove (Ray) of Royston, and David Fulghum (Cindy) of Dewy Rose, GA; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she enjoyed spending time with as often as possible, Jenna Wooten, Jessica Vaughn, Jarron Vaughn (Amber), Briar Dove, Kase Dove, Jacie Dove, Jayley Vaughn, Jace Vaughn, Jaylani Vaughn, Jaxon Vaughn, Alijah Vaughn, Kallie Vaughn, and Ezabella-Grace Brotherton.
