Mary L Gehring ObituaryMary L. Gehring, age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at The Villas in Manalapan. Born in Queens, NY she had lived in various communities in NJ for the past 40 years. Mary dedicated over 20 years as a secretary at Webcraft Technologies in North Brunswick before retiring. Afterward, she enjoyed part-time positions at Fortunoff and Lowes. A longtime parishioner of St Bernadette RC Church in Parlin, Mary helped work bingo and was an active part of the senior groups. Known for her love of cooking, entertaining, and gardening, she was the heart of any gathering, always smiling. Her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others made her a beloved friend to all, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her parents James and Gertrude Hurley, her sisters Helen Stulb and Margaret Kriehn and her faithful dogs, Brandy and Summertime. Surviving are her son Scott Gehring and his fiancé Wendy; her sisters and their spouses, Carol and Bill Lunior and Gail and Drew Halcomb; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be offered for Mary on Thursday, September 11th, 9:30am at St Bernadette RC Church in Parlin.
