Mary Catherine Gurtner

Mary Catherine John Gurtner, 90, died Friday, January 23, 2026. Mary Catherine was a native of New Orleans and lived in Albany, Louisiana for the last 20 years of her life.

She loved spending time with her family, going on cruises with her husband, and making trips to the casino. She is proceeded in death by her husband of 47 years Ronald Gurtner, parents, Mary Arrigo, and Charles John, sister Patricia John, daughter-in-law, Jaime, Hadley, and grandson, Adam Hall. She is survived by her two children, Melvin Hadley Jr. and Denise Hall, grandkids Larry Hall, Amanda Daigle (Randy) Catherine Ducote (Justin) and great grandkids Logan, Kylie, Khloe, Meiya, Alyssa, Reid, Renee', McKenzie, and Blaze.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 31st from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM at Jacob Schoen and Son funeral home. The funeral service will be celebrated at 12:30 PM in the Jacob Schoen chapel with internment to follow at Lake lawn Park Cemetery.
