Mary Hedgpeth Obituary
She attended Hillcrest High School and graduated in 1973. Mary Box was wed to Ricky Hedgpeth that summer on the 4th of May. To this union were born two daughters, Alicia Marie Ragsdale and Kimberly Renae Minkler.
She worked for Heers Department Store, Zenith, Assembly of God Headquarters, and Missouri Department of Social Services Child Support Enforcement. She was a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church in Springfield, MO.
Mary is survived by her husband, Ricky Hedgpeth; her father, Herbert Afton Box; sister, Candi Ward; her daughter, Alicia Ragsdale and husband, Blair, of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Kimberly Minkler and husband, Tim, of Lee Summit, MO; seven grandchildren: Jessica Hardney and husband Teddy, Isaac Minkler, Katie Ragsdale, Abby Minkler, Finley Minkler, and Hannah Minkler; and her numerous extended family members.
God and her family were Mary's greatest joy. She loved RV traveling, going to museums, boating on the lake, camping/fishing, and collecting sea shells and rocks along beaches. Mary also loved sketching, drawing, painting, and any movie with Doris Day.
Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 28, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Springfield, MO. Services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Aldrich Missouri.
Care and arrangements are under the direction of Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. – DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory, Springfield, MO.
