Mary K. Hoffman, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed from this life at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on September 5, 1965, Mary's warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her throughout her 59 years.
Mary's career as a cashier at Kroger was more than a job; it was an opportunity to connect with her community and brighten the days of countless individuals with her friendly smile and caring conversation.
Family was the cornerstone of Mary's life. She was a loving mother to her children, Justin Tincher of Seymour, Cody (Ashley) Tincher of Columbus, Jonathan Hoffman of Scottsburg, and Katina Dicken of Columbus. Her role as a mother extended to her stepchildren, Nicole Hoffman of Edinburgh and Dusty Hoffman of Crawfordsville, whom she embraced with open arms and an open heart. Mary's legacy continues through her 13 grandchildren, who will carry forward her lessons of love, compassion, and resilience.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dwight Lewis Hoffman, Mary's reunion with him is a comforting thought to those she leaves behind. Their love story was one of mutual respect, shared dreams, and an unbreakable bond that continues to inspire their family.
As we say goodbye to Mary, we celebrate a life well-lived-a life filled with laughter, generosity, and an abundance of love.
In keeping with Mary's wishes, cremation is planned and there will be no service at this time.
