Mary Ann Jacques

Mary Ann Jacques,84, of Bristolville, OH passed away peacefully to Heaven on Thursday, January 8, 2026, after a brave, fierce, and years-long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
She was born June 18, 1941, and raised in Solon, OH, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Papin. Mary Ann married the love of her life, Richard J. Jacques Sr., June 23, 1962; they shared over 64 years of marriage and raised 3 children together. Over the years, Mary Ann worked at Western Electric and the Portage County District Library, but her most beloved roles in life were that of a devoted wife and amazing mother. She raised her children with such an unconditional love and taught them about faith in God to direct their steps.
Mary Ann enjoyed gardening, baking delicious Christmas cookies for everyone, jigsaw puzzles, feeding her "budgies" aka birds, swimming, walking with her daughter, painting, and Scrabble was her absolute most favorite game of many she played her entire life through. She also loved her pets as much as her human family. Mary Ann was well known to have a witty sense of humor and the best comebacks and one liners, even in the midst of her disease. Her playful spirit won over every heart she met, and her love and strength were an example to us all. Mary Ann will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Richard J. Jacques Sr., of Bristolville; son, John Jacques, of Bristolville; daughter, Michelle (Mike) Casseday, of West Farmington, as well as many other extended family members.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; eldest son, Richard (Rick) Jacques Jr.; and her beautiful sister and lifelong friend, Carol Parish.
Honoring the wishes of Mary Ann and her family, direct cremation has taken place and was entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
