Mary Rebecca Jaye

Mary Rebecca "Becky" Jaye, 89, of Louisville, passed away on September 23, 2023. Mary was born on October 14, 1933 in Maynardville, Tennessee to Daw and Bessie Buckner. Mary earned a B.S. Degree from the University of Tennessee. Seymour and Mary were married on June 1, 1958 in Knoxville, TN. Becky was a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization, Questers, The Garden Club and The Ongoers. Some of Becky's interests were gardening, animals, antiques, friends and family. Becky was always caring and nurturing to others. We will miss her greatly and the love that she poured into us will live on. Becky is survived by her children, Jennifer Jaye, Cynthia Jaye and Cara Jaye; grandchildren, Tabitha Jones, Brianna Jones, Harley Kenitzer-Jaye, Coco Overstreet and Clement Axum; and great grandchildren, Zeus Gonzalez-Jones, Bianca Jones-Sogla, Logan Skillett and Caden Skillett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Seymour Jaye. Charitable contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. The funeral service will be on Saturday, September 30 at 1:00 at Greenwood & Myers Mortuary. Interment will immediately follow at Mountain View Memorial Park.
