Mary Jo Kindzierski

Mary Jo Kindzierski, 62, of Hazlet passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Bayshore Community Medical Center in Holmdel.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, Mary Jo was a longtime resident of Carteret before settling in Hazlet for the past six years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Wagner University and was employed as a registered nurse at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston in the maternity unit along with the radiology department. Mary Jo then became a school nurse within the Carteret Public School System and most recently in Perth Amboy Schools. She was a member of the St. Demetrius Ukrainian Social Club in Carteret for many years and had an extremely big heart who cared more about others than herself. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her nieces and nephews.
Mary Jo was predeceased by her parents, John and Ethel Kindzierski. Surviving are her fiance, John Cibor; siblings, Dr. John Kindzierski with his wife Betty Ann, Robert Kindzierski with his wife Alice; nieces and nephews, Scott, Kristen, Kyle, Matthew, Beth, Lance and Ryan along with 12 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Friday, October 20, 2023 from CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 625 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Helena R.C. Church in Edison. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
