Mary Katherine (Thull) Krempel died November 7, 2024 at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH.
Mary was born June 14, 1955 in Mansfield, OH to John and Madalyn (Letang) Thull.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother Madalyn (Letang) Thull, and father John M. Thull; sisters Margie (Bruce) Phipps and Melinda (Dennis) Currens; sisters-in-law Diane Krempel, JoAnne (Krempel) Hoover and brother-in-law Michael Krempel.
She is survived by her husband Steven Krempel, their four children; Jennifer (Derek) Bieder, Daniel (Kristy) Krempel, Robert (Amanda) Kepner, Kenneth (Amanda) Krempel; Grandchildren Zackary, Makenna, Alexander, Samara, Charlie, Benjamin, Myles, Rollan and Emma; siblings John (Stephanie) Thull, Joan (Vincent) Owens; sister-in-law Bonnie (Bill) Krempel-Portier, brother-in-law Father Matthew Krempel and her uncle William Letang.
Mary graduated from St. Peter's High School in Mansfield in 1973. She was a Paramedic and earned an Associate of Science in Epic Health Services degree from Kent State. She was passionate about helping others and worked as a paramedic for 9 years and then 10 years as a phlebotomist at Lake Health. As a Social Services Aide, she accompanied minor children on visits to a non-residential parent. She immensely enjoyed her work at private ambulance companies and teaching CPR with her long-time co-worker and friend, Jim Fowler.
She treasured her children and grandchildren. With Steve, she helped them through the many challenges life's complications bring. Family was a priority and she always wanted to be there for them. Mary cared for her Mother-in-Law Jane for the last years of Jane's life, providing not only care but also fond memories.
Mary's life was full of energy. Birthday parties and family get togethers were cherished. She enjoyed going on adventures with her family; traveling across the country on road trips, when her children were young, and later traveling with Steve to tour Italy, explore Hawaii and white-water rafting in Alaska. The SJV 50+ Club bus tours allowed her to sight-see, visit with friends and make new acquaintances. Her last adventure was to California, visiting with her uncle Bill Letang, on her birthday.
Her hands were always busy. A talented artist she enjoyed painting and crafting. She was an excellent seamstress making her own wedding and bridesmaid's dresses, blankets and quilts for others. She also loved her Church and Faith and was a believer in the resurrection after death. She loved singing in her SJV Church choir with Steve. She was a member of the Messiah Chorus of Lake County and the Fine Arts Association Chorus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name to St Jude's Children Hospital would be appreciated St Jude's Children Hospital
