Obituary of Mary Ann LaTourelle
AVON, MN – Mary Ann LaTourelle (Green), age 86 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 27th at Paynesville Care Center.
She was born in Minneapolis MN, on January 29th, 1938, to Arthur Green and Frieda Halvorson.
She married Donald S. Larson on April 30th, 1960. Together they had six children.
Mary Ann grew up in Minneapolis worked as a factory worker then went to school and became a nurse's aide. She worked at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Sauk Rapids MN until retirement.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to talk about her grand and great-grandchildren with her friends, neighbors, or anyone who would listen. She enjoyed quiet moments at home, feeding the birds, working crossword puzzles, playing on her iPad, watching old westerns, and mystery murder shows. She especially liked spending time with her cat. She was quick-witted, had a great sense of humor, and was well-liked. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by three children, Tod Larson (Cheryl) of Glenwood City, WI, Wendy Jeub (Chris) of Monument CO, and Heather Pierskalla (Mark) of Avon, MN. She is further survived by 26 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren, with two more great-grandchildren on the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Green, and Frieda Halvorson-Conyers, Siblings, Nina Yates, Burt Green, and Eugene Green. Ex-husband Donald Larson, Daughter Debbi Odegard, Son Drew Larson, and Daughter Paula Larson.
Keeping with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held in Pine City MN, at a later date for the immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Moments Hospice of St Cloud.
The entire Larson family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Avon Rescue Squad, St Cloud Hospital, Paynesville Care Center, and Moments Hospice. They were all very helpful and amazing!
