Mary Lee Seay Williams of Clover, VA. Born September 4, 1941, in Halifax County, VA. She passed peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. Williams, parents, Mildred Talley Seay and James Herbert Seay of Clover, VA.
Left to cherish her memory is her stepdaughter, Kimberly W. Overton of Raleigh, NC, her stepson, David Larry Williams of Raleigh, NC her mother’s sister Jeanie Guill of Clover, VA, a host of cousins and extended family and friends.
She attended Longwood College and graduated in 1963 with her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education. She continued to further her education and graduated in 1972 from Virginia Commonwealth University with her Master of Education. After many years of dedicated service to public education, Mary Lee retired as an elementary school Principal from the Halifax County School System and a former elementary teacher. She was a member of the Rodgers Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed volunteering with the Mt. Laurel Ruritan Club.
Later in life, she was an avid traveler and enjoyed traveling with Bobby and many good friends. When not traveling or participating in community service, she enjoyed visiting friends, spending time with family, Saturday night dinner and ice cream with Larry, and loving her sweet four-legged Golden Doddle: Pretty Lady.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at Transitions LifeCare and Morningside of Raleigh. Their kindness, honor, and support meant so much to her and the family.
A very special thank you is extended to the many friends who supported the family during these difficult times, particularly the Whitehall Community.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rodgers Chapel Baptist Church. 4003 Rodgers Chapel Road, Clover, VA 24534, with the Rev. Aubrey Heath
officiating. Immediately following the service, the interment will begin at Clover Cemetery, Mt. Laurel Road, Route 746, Clover, VA. The family will receive friends after the internment in the church fellowship hall at Rodgers Chapel Baptist Church.
