Mary Lou Grewe, 75, of Fergus Falls, died Monday, October 21, 2024, at LB Broen Home in Fergus Falls.
Mary Lou Kantrud was born December 28, 1948, in Fergus Falls to Ernest and Luella (Tohm) Kantrud. She grew up in Fergus Falls and graduated from Fergus Falls High School. After high school she went to school to become a computer keypunch typist. She completed school and got a job in St. Paul, MN.
She was an accomplished musician who played the piano and viola.
Mary suffered from mental health and did well living in homes that specialized caring for her needs. She lived very happily with Diane Armstrong for almost 13 years. In 2018 Mary moved into the Broen Home where she spent the rest of her life. The Broen Home was excellent at taking care of her and enjoyed living there.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Luella Kantrud.
Mary is survived by, her brother, Gary (Kathy) Kantrud, Justin (Lori) Kantrud, Christian and Vincent Kantrud.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2024 at the Light and Life Auditorium at the Broen Home.
Clergy: Pastor Norm Thomsen
Interment: First Lutheran North Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN
