Mary Lucas Obituary
Mary Aurelia Lucas, 64, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024, at Wendover Hospice House. A native of Cleveland County, she was born February 3, 1960, the daughter of the late Robert Presley and Vera Louise Hill Lucas. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Robert Presley Lucas, Jr., and her beloved dogs, Maggie and Ranger.
Mary is survived by three children, Randall Bowen and wife Lauren of Apex, NC, Mark Bowen of Shelby, NC, and Catherine Bowen of Hillsborough, NC, one brother, Frank Lucas and wife Susan of Mooresboro, NC, and two grandchildren, Luke Bowen and Jake Bowen of Apex, NC.
Mary was a dearly devoted mother who cared for her family and her animals. She will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Lattimore Baptist Church.
A Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation at 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Lattimore Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Buddy Morehead. Inurnment will immediately follow at Sandy Run Baptist Church.
