Mary Jeanette Meece, 85, Indianapolis, Indiana passed away November 19, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on June 21,1940 in Pound, Virginia.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Carl Meece and many nieces and nephews who loved her.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar & Daisy Snavely; her brothers Roy Cecil Snavely and Charles Edward Snavely and her sister Katheryn Rosette Tuggle.
Jeanette was an Angel on Earth. She truly embodied a kind, gentle soul. She was the sweetest lady! Jeanette stayed close to her family by always calling and sending cards or gifts to them. She loved her church, her pastor and his wife. Jeanette retired from her position as a payroll clerk after 30 years of employment with Brylane (now known as Lane Bryant). She enjoyed home decorating, gardening, Bible study, cooking, visiting family and being involved in her church, Church of God of Prophesy.
Service will be on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 West US Hwy 52, Fountaintown, Indiana, 46130 with Visitation from 10:00 am until the start of the service at 12:00 pm at the mortuary. Officiating the service will be Pastor Mike Ramirez, Jr. Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
