Mary Elizabeth Mohon, 77, of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 10, 1948, Mary was the daughter of Mozelle Herndon and Dorothy Elizabeth Campbell. She was one of many siblings and carried with her a deep sense of love and loyalty to her family throughout her life.
Mary spent her career as a devoted housekeeper at the First Baptist Church of Dade City, where her work was not only done with diligence but with faith and quiet grace. Her dedication and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was married to Oscar Felton Mohon, known by those around him as "Felton", with whom she built a life centered around faith, family, and simple joys. Mary's greatest happiness came from time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She especially loved playing games, making memories with those around her that will last a lifetime.
Mary is survived by her daughters Rebecca Spivey, Martha Kelly, and Ashley Easterwood; her grandchildren Heather Gonzalez, Lily Spivey, Samuel Amoateng, and Emberlee Kelly; and her great-grandchildren Sophia Spivey, Tala Gonzalez, Malakai Granger, and Aria Granger. Her legacy lives on through them-in every loving memory, every lesson passed down, and every shared moment of joy.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mozelle Herndon and Dorothy Elizabeth Campbell.
There will be a memorial service held for Mary on Saturday, June 14th, 2025 at 11:00 at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City.
