Mary Ann Moore Dixon

Mary Ann (Moore) Dixon, 83, of Grimesland, NC, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025.
Born to the late Larry and Thelma Moore, Mary Ann dedicated her life to her family, her work, and for many years, her customers. She was a talented seamstress whose skill and dedication touched countless lives. For more than 50 years, she worked at Scott's Cleaners, where her passion for sewing became both a career and a craft she cherished deeply.
Her greatest pride and joy were her family. She is survived by her children, Donna and husband Georyos Dahdal, Jeff and wife Laurie Dixon, and Tony and wife Kimberley Dixon. She was a beloved grandmother to Kesia and wife, Heather, Randy and wife, Julie and their children, Robbie, Claire, and Jack, Ray and wife, Lisa and their son, Levi, Alex and fiancée, Jennifer, Dustin and his son, Mason, Chris and Calla, and children, Brantley, Heileigh, Ida, Kolton, and Kaceson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Dixon, son, Tommy Dixon, siblings, Genevieve, Becky, and Larry Moore.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to her caregiver, Melanie Manning, for taking such great care of her during her last weeks with us, as well as to her PruittHealth Hospice nurses and nurse aides.
Mary Ann will be remembered for her kind spirit, her love of family, and the warmth she gave so freely to everyone around her.
A visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Greenville, NC on Saturday, September 27th from 4 - 6pm. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 28th at 3pm at Homestead Memorial Gardens in Greenville, NC.
