Mary Lou Moore, 81, of Davenport, Florida, passed away on February 20, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 24, 1944, in Morehead, Kentucky to Allie J. and Ethel Donahue Black. Mary Lou moved to Florida in 1966 from Morehead, Kentucky. She worked as a secretary for her family business, Moore International Trucks, for 30 years and was of the Christian faith.

Mary Lou enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, watching television-especially game shows-and traveling. She was a unique person: strong-willed, loving, and deeply caring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allie and Ethel Black; her son, Quintin R. Moore; and her siblings, Larry, Junior, Bert and Raymond, Ava, Cora, Jean, and Anna. Mary Lou leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 63 years, Ronald Moore; her daughter, Melissa L. Cook; her brother, Philip Black; her grandchildren, Kristopher Moore and Thomas Cook; and her great-grandson, Jackson Moore.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., both at Oak Ridge Funeral Care. Final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, Florida.
