Mary Morgan Strobel Parsons Obituary

Mary Morgan attended Saint Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Loyola College Prep. She went on to study nursing at NLU in Monroe, Louisiana.
Suffice it to say, Mary Morgan was somewhat of a spit-fire at times, as well as a strong-willed and independent woman. She had her share of difficulties in this life, but for those of us who watched her grow up, we remember this precocious child who loved life and enjoyed sports but especially swimming, being a lifeguard, and teaching swimming lessons.
She loved cooking: especially brownies, and banana pudding for her dad. Mary Morgan loved family vacations whether they were at the beach or at her family's camp on Lake Bistineau helping her brother boil crawfish, and being the innertube queen. She had a tender heart for animals and loved her dogs Remi, Kevin, and Scout.
She leaves behind her parents, Cecile and Shawn Strobel and her brother, William Henry Strobel. She was preceded in death by her precious four month old son, JohnHenry Strobel; her maternal grandparents, Ada and Eugene Holloway; her paternal grandparents, Patricia and Dallas Strobel; and her aunt, Mamie Holloway.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mary Morgan at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 204 Patton Ave., Shreveport, on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow the Mass at the Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Atlantic Ave., Shreveport, LA 71105.

You have surely left your mark on our lives forever. I know those who knew you won´t ever forget you. I´ll always remember how close you were with your family and the special bond you shared with your brother. I promise to make sure your memory lives on.

Mary Morgan could be described as a "spit-fire" for sure. She left a legacy that I'm sure won't be forgotten for many, many years. She touched the lives of many.
