Cecilia Smith

Cecilia Smith was born in Lima, Peru in 1956. After travelling the world as a child, the family settled in Guadalajara, Mexico. During her school years at the American School, she excelled in sports, as she did her whole life.

Cecilia graduated from UCLA with a degree in Anthropology and later obtained an MBA. Again, she travelled the world for work and pleasure. She was blessed with friends with friends from all over the world.

She is survived by her sister Mary Coker (husband Larry) and two nieces Stephanie Perkins (husband Jared) and great-niece Prudence; Ashley Coker and great-nephew Carson, nephew Norman F. Smith; cousins Rayna Martin, Bobby Rinaldi, Juanita Rebolledo and Francisco Rebolledo. As well as a great number of family in Colombia.

Cecilia is preceded in death by her parents, Norman F. Smith and Cecilia Rebolledo Smith.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton was a sanctuary for her as she would wheel herself part way from her home at Azalea Estates and parishioners would meet her partway both for Mass and Rosary.

The family would like to thank the staff at Azalea Estates for their care in making it home for 10 years. To the many friends that visited, brought company, gifts, and food we are eternally grateful. There are so many we would leave names out, but we must mention Katya, Sam, Debra, Kari, and Mary. Please forgive us for not mentioning you who are reading this, you have our deepest gratitude. We must also mention Brenda, Debby, and Crystal.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Josephs' Cemetery.
