Mary Jane Mormando

Mary Jane Mormando (nee Ivenz) of Lumberton left this world January 23, 2023. Born in Mt. Holly on December 13, 1938, the only child of the late Jane (nee Heppard) and Joseph Ivenz, Mary Jane was known affectionately to her husband and family as Janie, to friends as Jane and to her beloved grandchildren as Grammy. After marrying, Jane enjoyed life as a Navy wife, living with her husband Al and raising their children Michael and Christina in Virginia, New York, Florida and Utah, before retiring to Lumberton to be closer to her extended family. Jane was loved for her sense of humor. Two of her favorite indulgences were watching NCIS and enjoying Hershey bars with almonds. But her favorite thing was being Grammy, picking up her younger grandchildren from school, doting on them and supporting their dreams.
Jane is survived by her husband of 63 years, Alfred; her children Michael (Susan) of Kaysville, Utah and Christina Tencza of Lumberton, NJ; her grandchildren Matthew Mormando of Kaysville, Gage Tencza and Ryley Tencza, both of Lumberton; many cousins and numerous other extended family. Jane was predeceased by her son-in-law, Joseph Tencza.
