Mary Lois Dehart Ogles, 83, of Trinity, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 18, 1942, in Pulaski County, Va. Mary was the daughter of the late James Ellis Dehart and the late Alma Gertrude Gallimore Dehart. She worked as a dedicated seamstress and retired from Wayne Industries. Outside of work, Mary loved to travel and shop-especially when she found a great yard sale or thrift store. Known for her signature red lipstick, carefully done nails, and jewelry, she always took pride in her appearance and never stepped out without looking her best.

Mary had a deep love for her pets and found great comfort in her faith and church family at Gospel Light Freewill Baptist Church. More than anything, her life revolved around her family and friends. She will be remembered for her boundless love, her generosity, and her unwavering commitment to those she cared for.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Ogles; her great grandson, Douglas Walser III; her great granddaughter, Skyleigh Collins; and her brother, Robert Lee Dehart.

She is survived by her loving children: sons, Dale Ogles (Kathy) of Denton and Darrell Ogles (Peggy) of Archdale; daughters, Teresa Turner (Lee) of Trinity, Janet Prevost of Trinity, Karen Walker of Asheboro, and Regina Workman (Cecil) of Archdale. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ashley Hicks, Brandi Lewis, Brandon Ogles, Jamie Helton (Tabitha), Felicity Ogles, Crystal Prevost (Joe), David Prevost (Crystal), Donna Hardee (Timothy), Bennie Walker, James Ogles (Amber), Michael Ogles (Ashley), Amanda Turner (Chris), and Justin Turner; also, along with 35 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025, also at the Archdale location of Cumby Family Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Archdale Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service with Reverend James Shetley officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Cemetery in Thomasville, NC.

Following the interment of Holly Hill Cemetery, family and friends are welcome to gather for the Celebration of Life of Mary Ogles at 4008 Ball Park Road, Thomasville, NC 27360. If one wishes to send or bring food donations, please use this location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary's honor to Gospel Light Freewill Baptist Church, 4014 Ballpark Road, Thomasville, NC 27360.
