Mary Elizabeth Panozzo

Mary Elizabeth (Brown) Panozzo, 65, of Peoria, Illinois passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10th, 2025, at OSF Medical Center, surrounded by her children.
Mary was born February 2, 1960, in Davenport, Iowa, to Larry and Miriam Brown. Mary is survived by her children: Matthew Rusk (Megan) of Plainfield, Illinois; Lauren Merryman (Drew) of Dripping Springs, Texas; Evan Panozzo of Peoria, Illinois. She is also survived by her mother, Miriam Brown; her siblings: Carol Brown-Harrison, Julie McConnell, Emily Brown, Curtis Brown; and her nine cherished grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Sydney Panozzo, and her father, Larry J. Brown.
Mary will be best remembered for her protective nature, sense of humor, and resilience through life's challenges. She had a deep and abiding love for her family, especially her grandchildren. Her career in customer service reflected her lifelong dedication to helping others with kindness and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Mary's honor on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Northminster Presbyterian Church, with a luncheon to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
