Mary Ray Obituary
Mary Louise was born to George and Orpha Gregory in New Kensington, Pennsylvania on October 3, 1938. She attended school in New Kensington, graduating from New Kensington High School in 1956. She met her husband, Charles, while he was stationed in Pennsylvania while serving in the U.S. Army. The Rays returned to Alabama where Charles worked in construction as a painter. Mary Louise served as a United States Postal Service mail carrier out of the McCalla, Alabama Post Office.
Mary Louise enjoyed leisure time at their river camp, traveling, spending time with family, participating in Red Hat Club, and her grandchildren, and was a longtime member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
Mary Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Charles. Surviving is a brother, George Gregory (Pennsylvania); children Jeff (Carol) and Nancy; three grandchildren, Jeffery, Jerrad, and Leanne, as well as seven great-grandchildren, Oliver, Arden, Finley, Buckley, Aurora, Arthur, and Charlee, and numerous nieces and nephews.
