I just today learned of dear Mary´s passing. I first met her when she came to work in the Patient Accounts Department for U.W. Hospital, where she later became my "office mate." When I retired, Mary and I decided that we and our husbands were going to get together on the first Friday of every month-which we continued to do for many years, through Bill Rikli´s illness and death and for some time after that. Eventually, time took its toll, though, and, with our various infirmities, our get-togethers became less frequent, replaced by phone visits, etc. as we all-sigh!-grew older and stopped straying far from home.

I am so very sorry to hear of Mary´s passing. This old world sorely needs more Mary Riklis-always so kind, always so welcoming and, of course always so chatty!

Rest in happiness, my friend-and save me a good spot in your new location!

`til we meet again-
Marge Stern
