Mary F. (Rosenberger) Rogers, 100, of Milford and previously from Maine, passed away Sun., June 2, 2024 in Atria Draper Place, Hopedale. She was the wife of Paul C. Rogers.
Mrs. Rogers was employed as a statistical clerk in the library of the University of Southern Maine and also for Employers Liability in Boston.
She was born April 22, 1924 in Cambridge, a daughter of the late William F. and Mary R. (Parece) Rosenberger. She was a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1942.
Mr. & Mrs. Rogers had observed their 76th wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Rogers was a communicant and active member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Hopedale where she participated in various ministries. She enjoyed baking, knitting and crocheting afghans, lap robes, sweaters, and other items for friends, relatives and military hospitals.
In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by a son Michael Anthony Rogers and his wife Joy of Trinity, FL; a daughter Kathleen Mary Doukas of Franklin, MA; and 2 grandsons, Paul D. Rogers of Pinellas Park, FL and Evan P. Doukas of Somerville, MA. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Picariello and Margaret Keniston.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, June 17, 2024 from 5 – 7 PM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18th at 9 AM from the funeral home with a procession to leave at 9:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale St., Hopedale.
Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, P.O. Box 61420 Staten Island, NY 10306.
