Mary Elizabeth Sparks, lovingly known as Liz, passed away on November 2, 2025. She was born on November 25, 1947, to Kenneth and Mary McDaniel.
Liz is survived by her children, Susan VanTuinen, Jamie Stradley, Robin Cook, and Toby Cook; and by her cherished grandchildren, Danielle Goodman, Nicholas Cook, Nathaniel VanTuinen, Jordan Griffin, Meg Stradley, Asher Cook, Noah Cook, and Wyatt Cook.
She was a talented seamstress and exceptional cook, remembered for her famous Christmas candy, fudge, and bonbons. She had a flair for beautiful hats, a love of great music, and a generous heart. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and neighbors.
Her legacy of kindness, creativity, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A private burial will be held with family.
