It is with deep sadness and abiding gratitude that we celebrate the life of Mary Jane (Carroll) Spears. Mary was a beautiful soul who graced this earth for too short of a time. Mary was a beloved and devoted Mother first and foremost, Sister, Daughter and Aunt. Who went home to be with the Lord on September 22nd, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on April 6th, 1972, in Amarillo, TX.

Mary lived a life full of love, adventure and compassion. There wasn’t a single person that Mary met that didn’t instantly love her. She lit up any room she walked in to. Mary graduated from Lamar High School in Arlington, TX. She had been recently attending online classes at Tarrant County College, where she had obtained her associates degree and was just a semester away from earning her bachelor's degree before she was taken too soon from life.

She was a very hard and devoted worker where she spent the last 10 years as an office manager for J Perez and associates in Grapevine, TX.

Mary loved animals. She would volunteer Friday nights at PetSmart to feed and play with the adoptable cats. She was constantly finding cats to foster and rehome, always feeding the neighborhood cats even when she had two of her own. Mary was just an all-around selfless human being. She would always tell you her greatest accomplishment in life was being a mom to her three children.

Mary’s beautiful spirit will be carried on by her three children, Brandi Williams, Jordan Parker, and Ashton Spears.

Her parents, James Carroll and stepmom Karen Carroll, of Oklahoma.

Her sisters, Bridget Houston and Alice Shaw, and all her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her mother, Beverly Carroll.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Mary’s amazing life on Friday, October 24th, 2025, at 2pm, Wade Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington, TX, 76013.

Mary will be remembered as a selfless, kind and beautiful person that never lost her spark.
