Mary Stepney Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Stepney, 76, of Hyde Park, NY passed away at home surrounded by her family on February 18, 2022. She was born on January 17, 1946 in Catherine, Alabama to the late Tom and the late Ethel Mae (Scott) Gladden.
She was a Manager for Verizon retiring in 2008.
Mary has been a local resident since 2015, previously from the Bronx.
She was the wife of Kenneth N. Stepney, they were married in the Bronx on April 16, 1986.
Mary loved going on Crusies for vacation and enjoyed going to Jazz Concerts.
Survivors include spouse Kenneth Stepney Hyde Park New York, son Michael (Ernestine) Gladden Pensacola Florida, daughter Marcella Slaughter Hyde Park New York, daughter Roscella Slaughter Poughkeepsie New York, son Edward Slaughter Jr. Hyde Park New York grandchildren Michael Hiter, Macortney Hiter, Mekayla Sims, Jeffrey Walser, Keije Walser and Michaels Children and grandchildren, her siblings Phelix Scott, Cornelius Scott and Cyntha Scott.
Funeral Services will be held February 24, 2022 at 12:00 PM from Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY.
People may come on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
Entombment will take place in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
