Beloved daughter of the late Leonard "Jack" Carlton and the late Mary Christine (nee McPhearson) Carlton.
Loving wife of the late Hildred L. Gantt.
Mother of Danny (Marilyn), the late Larry, and Bonnie (Steve) Furnett.
Cherished grandmother of Eydie.
Dear sister of the late Leonard "Red", the late Joe "Jimmy", the late Nanny Lou "Louise/Buzz", the late Howard, and Gerald, the baby brother who just turned 90.
Fond aunt to many and pet mom to her yorkie, Sandy.
Sue enjoyed many hobbies, including fishing and boating with family, sewing, quilting, crafting, antique collecting, and her favorite, garage saling.
Known as "Sister Sue" by her church family, she was a Christian woman who devoted many years doing God's work, teaching Sunday School, participating in the Women's Auxiliary, leading Vacation Bible School, playing acoustic guitar and singing with the church band and congregation.
An avid animal lover, Sue was known as "Mom", "Grandma", and "Aunt" to many dogs.
She was a breast cancer survivor of 21 years.
Just might have been the #1 fan of "The Young and The Restless", she watched since its debut in 1973 (52 years).
Visitation: Friday, August 22, 2025, from 12:00pm until 1:30pm at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, 9568 Belmont Avenue, Franklin Park, IL, 60131.
Interment to follow at Elm Lawn Memorial Park, 401 E. Lake Street, Elmhurst, IL, 60126.
