Mary Franco Torres, a beloved member of the Irving community, passed away peacefully on April 8th, 2024, at the age of 94. She was born on May 17th, 1929, to the late Ramon and Frances Franco.
Mary dedicated her life to service, both in her professional career and personal life. After years of dedicated service, she retired from both Irving Bank and Trust and Irving Independent School District, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
A devout member of First Baptist Church in Irving, Mary found solace and purpose in teaching children and participating in Bible study groups.
On September 19th, 1949, Mary married the love of her life, Eulojio L. Torres, with whom she shared 74 years of unwavering love and companionship. Together, they built a beautiful family and cherished every moment.
Mary is survived by her loving spouse, Eulojio L. Torres, her children: Robert Torres (wife Melissa), Mona DeLaTorre, Randall Torres (wife Desi), and Lisa Torres Mendoza. She is also survived by her 11grandchildren and her 15 great-grandchildren.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported Mary throughout her life, as well as the caregivers at VITAS Healthcare for their compassionate care during her final days.
Mary Franco Torres will be remembered for her kindness, faith, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
