Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Greene Webb, age 83, of Mount Airy, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mount Airy, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Webb was born on January 16, 1942, in Surry County to the late Miles Wilson Green, Sr. and Mary Frances Boles Greene. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney Wilburn Webb and Whitney, Richard Webb and Lori Bobbit; son-in-law, Darrell Nichols; eight grandchildren, Jody Darrell Nichols, Ashley Pearl Nichols Seal and Seth, Johnathon Samuel Nichols, Beth Webb, Parker Webb, Lily Webb, Anne Marie Webb, Sophia Mae Webb; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn Greene Newman and Larry; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Pearl Webb Nichols; her husband, Wilburn “W.O” Webb; sister, Peggy Ann Greene Moore; and two brothers, Joseph Greene, Miles Wilson Greene, Jr. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 2:30 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens with Mr. Danny Moore and Mr. Randy Moore officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Central Continuing Care and nursing staff at Northern Regional Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to Central Continuing Care, 1287 Newsome Street, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.
