Mary White Obituary Mary J. White, age 80, of Shelby passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Samaritan Hospital in Ashland, Ohio surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born on November 21, 1944, in Athens, Ohio to the late Earl L. and Margaret (Aldridge) White. A 1962 graduate of Athens High School, she had been a resident of Shelby for the majority of her life. Upon moving to Shelby, she owned and operated The Print Shoppe with her late husband, Hal, and worked as a baker at Cornell's IGA for 20 years.
In her spare time, Mary enjoyed reading. One of her favorite books was "The Secret Garden'. She also loved gardening vegetables and flowers. Mary was a great baker and cook. Most of all she loved spending quality time with her family.
Mary is survived by her children, Mark (Jill) White of Mansfield, Ohio and Keeven White of Cleveland, Ohio; her grandchildren, Peyton, Kennedy, AJ, Jessica, and Mitch; her great-grandchildren, Grier, Arlene, Aurora and Violet; her two brothers, Ward (Margie) White of Cleveland, Ohio and Wayne (Pat) White of Logan, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Conrad 'Hal' White, whom she wed on June 15, 1965; her three brothers, Wilbur, Keith, and Ivan White; and three sisters, Nina, Boots, and Shirley.
Friends and family may visit the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A memorial service to immediately follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor James Robinson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to the Marvin Memorial Library at 29 W. Whitney Avenue, Shelby, Ohio 44875.
