Mary L. Wigglesworth

Mary L. (D'Errico) Wigglesworth, 93, of West Hartford, CT and formerly Shrewsbury, MA (for 90 years), went to heaven peacefully in her sleep on September 22. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Matteo and Isabelle (Piccinino) D'Errico and was the loving wife of the late George Wigglesworth Jr. for 54 years.
She leaves behind her son, Paul Wigglesworth and his wife Darlene of Newington, CT; her two cherished grandchildren, Brittany Pellerin and her husband Brooks of Riverview, FL and Jack Wigglesworth and his wife Angela of Glastonbury, CT. Mary also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters Josephine Ceffalo and Anna Barry; as well as her brothers Julio, Andrew, Michael, Matteo and Jim D'Errico.
Mary worked as a "Lunch Lady" at North Shore School while Paul was growing up and then was a Secretary at Mass Electric for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed going to the casino with George, attending Brittany and Jack's school and sporting events, sunbathing at the beach, dancing and exercising. Mary had a friendly, outgoing and energetic personality. She was caring, kind, thoughtful and had a great sense of humor. Mary loved to laugh and make people happy. She was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mary's family on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, followed by burial next to her husband at Mt. View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
