Mary Anne Wilson, 67, of Manlius, peacefully passed away on Thursday at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 2, 1957, in Gloversville, NY to Peter and Elise (Steiner) Wilson. Mary Anne was the oldest of their five children. She grew up in Johnstown, NY where she graduated from Johnstown High School in 1975. Mary Anne received a B.S. in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from Suny Cortland in 1979 and an M.S. in Audiology from Syracuse University in 1982. Mary Anne went on to pursue her passion for helping children with disabilities as a school audiologist with OCM BOCES for 34 years. She married her best friend, Robert Humphrey on July 29, 1995. Her most important role in life was as a mother to their three children; Bryce, Shane, and Callie. Mary Anne enjoyed visiting relatives, taking dance lessons, taking annual trips to Disney World, and pointedly commentating on politics. She maintained a great sense of humor through to her last day, which can be traced back to her favorite joke as a young child, "Knock-Knock, who's there? Cow with grass on it!" (Funny, right?).
Mary Anne was preceded in death by her father, Peter Wilson, and her beloved brother, Peter S. Wilson Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Robert Humphrey; her children, Bryce Humphrey, Shane Humphrey, Callie Humphrey and her fiancé Cameron Azimi; her mother, Elise Wilson; her siblings, Joel (Valarie) Wilson, Gretchen Wilson, Christian Wilson (Dr. John Culbertson); her sister-in-law, Patricia Wilson; her brother-in-law. Roger (Holly) Humphrey; her ten nieces and nephews and their families; as well as a wide circle of dear friends. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm at All Saints Church, 1340 Lancaster Ave., Syracuse. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10 am at All Saints Church. Burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary Anne's honor to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, PO Box 27106, New York, NY 10087 or Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088
