Mary Emma Woodall, 77, formerly of Massillon, passed away on July 4, 2025 at Avon Place Nursing Center, following an extended illness.
She was born on August 5, 1947 to the late Jacob and Anna (Rock) Passo, Sr. in Brownsville, PA.
A graduate of Beth Center High School, class of 1965, she moved to the Akron area and started her career. Mary worked for several stores and then moved to the Massillon area, where she worked for Apples Grocery until her retirement in 1999. She then began working at St. Barbara's Catholic Church and volunteered on the RCIA, Holy Dusters, Womens club, and Bereavement committees. She was a big fan of The Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Cleveland Guardians (Indians). Mary was dedicated to her family and her faith. She enjoyed entertaining and hosting gatherings at her home, and baking her famous Nut Roll.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Darla (Michael) Canevese and Dr. Richard (Lisa) Saxby III; grandchildren, Emma, Megan, Jacob and Carina; siblings, Michael (Cece) Passo and Theresa Houston; and many nieces, nephew and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Roger Woodall; siblings, Ella Dickinson, Jacob "Ge Ge" Passo, Jr., Helen Terravecchia, John Passo, and Paul Daniel Passo.
Visitation will be held from 9:30am-10:30am at Divine Mercy Parish, St. Barbara on Saturday, July 19, 2025, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 am.
Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Divine Mercy Parish, St. Barbara's in memory of Mary Woodall.
