Mary Ann Woods, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 24th, 2024 in Lady Lake, Florida. Born on April 18, 1926, Mary Ann lived a life dedicated to faith, family, and service.
Mary Ann called St. Augustine, Florida, her home for most of her life. There, she dedicated herself to her profession as a beautician, bringing joy and confidence to countless clients with her skilled hands and warm heart. But it was her unwavering faith and commitment to serving others that truly defined her life's purpose.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Woods, her beloved son and daughter, Larry Huttinger and Suzanne Sports. Although their passing brought her great sorrow, Mary Ann found solace in the love of her family, who remained by her side throughout her life's journey.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving grandson, Allen Jones and Ryan Huttinger, whom she adored beyond measure. Her great-grandchildren, Logan, Ethan, Grace, Peyton, Noah, Emily, Emma, Jenna, Zach, and Ava, were the lights of her life, and her love for them knew no bounds. Mary Ann is also survived by her son-in-law Stewart Sports and her two special cousins, Deborah Tucker and Joe Sistare, along with his two sons, Matthew and Christopher who loved her dearly and considered her their Grandma.
Mary Ann Woods exemplified the Christian life, embodying the teachings of love, kindness, and selflessness. She dedicated herself to caring for those in need and gave anything she could to help others. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and compassionate heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service to celebrate Mary Ann's life will be held at Craig's Funeral Home in St. Augustine, Florida, on May 25th at 2:00 p.m.
As we mourn Mary Ann's passing, let us also rejoice in the beautiful life she lived and the profound impact she had on those around her. May her memory continue to inspire us to live with love, faith, and kindness in our hearts, just as she did every day of her life.
