Marybeth (Driscoll) Wonson, 81
1943 - 2025
Essex - Marybeth (Driscoll) Wonson, from Essex, was born October 17, 1943, and passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was born in Everett to the late Daniel and Marguerite (Drew) Driscoll. Growing up in Saugus, Marybeth met her beloved husband, Peter G. Wonson, in the first grade, married him in 1967, and started their family in 1970. They moved to Essex in 1977 where they spent many joyful days on the Essex River with family and friends. In 1979 they founded General Environmental Services, Inc., a small regional pest management firm. Marybeth was well-known for her knack for effortlessly hosting large gatherings of siblings, children, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and extended family. She eagerly attended her spin classes on Wednesday and Sunday mornings at the Beverly Athletic Club.

dedication to and love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. Marybeth is survived by her devoted husband, Peter Wonson of Essex; her children Peter Wonson and his wife Catherine of Ipswich, Timothy Wonson of Essex, Elizabeth Mulry and her husband, Edward of Essex, and Brendan Wonson of Essex; She was the treasured "Nanny" to her nine grandchildren: Phoebe, Edward, Libby and Meg Mulry; Meredith, David, Thomas, Emma, and Timothy Jr. Wonson. Marybeth was a High School classmate who was a beautiful soul. She would lighten any room she entered. Not only lovely, but she was kind, sweet and a wonderful person. Throughout the years I looked forward to bumping into her and Peter here and there. A wonderful couple that I greatly admired. Such a loss, she went too early. My thoughts are with the entire family.
