Mashele E. Fillmore

Mashele Fillmore, 60, of Rockford, IL died on Sunday, December 18, 2022 in her home. She was born on February 28, 1962 in Dixon, IL to Delbert Clark and Mary (Lobb) Raney. Mashele graduated with her bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University. She served in the United States Air Force as a surgery tech then worked as an OR Technician at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center for 18 years. Mashele loved Pokémon Go, sewing amazing quilts, going to the apple orchard and hanging out with her dog, Rex, and her cats. She was also active with the Cancer Society. Shelly was a huge Star Trek fan; she made a uniform by hand. She loved to travel and completed four bucket list adventures; seeing Paul McCartney in concert, meeting William Shatner at a Treky Convention, going to Mt. Rushmore, and seeing both sides of Niagara Falls.
Survivors include: her children, Josh Fillmore of Loves Park, Sammy (Auzzy) Fillmore of Rockford, Jessica (Houston) Acree of Machesney Park, and Michelina (Jerome) Clark of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Kriz, Boux, John, Athena, Becky, Sienna, Sarae and baby Skylar on the way; her mom, Mary Raney; brother, Brian (Kelly) Clark. Predeceased by son, John R. Fillmore III; father, Delbert Clark and step-father, Tom Raney.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford. Private burial in Silver Creek Cemetery, Leaf River, IL. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. To send a condolence or share a memory, please visit olsonfh.com.
