Obituary of Mathias K. Sheriff
Mathias K. Sheriff "Mecca" 40 years old, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 11, 2022. He was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania on September 6, 1982. He grew up in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania and attended college at the University of Pittsburgh. In his early twenties he moved to Phoenix, Arizona and never looked back. In Arizona, he created his life, extended his family and built friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Mathias also known as Mecca was an incredible man. He made everyone feel as though they were very special to him or extended family. Mecca was kind to everyone and always showed up when it was important; especially with significant milestones for his family. Mecca was available whenever you needed him. Mathias enjoyed spending time with his friends and family over a good meal or fancy beverage. He was also known to throw down in the kitchen or grill something tasty. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, he will be blue, silver, and white forever.
Mecca was also an entrepreneur, like his mother. Mecca's last business enabled him to use his green thumb to grow cannabis. This expertise allowed him to provide informational sessions to others to help them understand the process. He took the process a step further and created a line of drops with flavored cannabis. He built and grew this product under his brand "Gang Sai". Under his brand he also sold clothing.
Mecca's greatest accomplishment was being a great father to his son. He made sure that his son knew how important he was to him and provided an excellent example of what a man should be. Mecca touched the life of everyone he met. Together he and his son enjoyed many of life's adventures including; scooters, driving cars, swimming, PlayStation, trampoline parks, football, basketball and arcades.
Mathias was preceded in death by his father, David M. Sheriff, his mother, Mary F. Rudolph, his grandfather James T. Rudolph Sr., his grandmother Mary B. Rudolph, and his Uncle James Rudolph and Uncle Vincent A. Rudolph.
He leaves behind his son Mathias Sheriff Jr, his fiancé Vonkisha Wilson, his brother Joseph Hills, two sisters Konnie Sheriff and Tiffanny Thomas (Terry), and his favorite niece Arianna Thomas. He also leaves behind a brotherhood "The Team '' and other brothers along the way. His celebration of life event will be held on March 18, 2023 in Coatesville, PA.
