Matopia was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Hosea (Grace) Midell Sr. She was united in marriage and preceded in death to Larry Winston and Elwin Vernell Summers.
She leaves to cherish her memory two devoted sons: Victor A. Summers and Richard M. Summers; four sisters; grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of devoted friends and associates of whom she held in high esteem.

The chain has been broken, six times in my life.
God always knows what is right.
You must be a Christian to stay in the race-
Not only by Prayer, but also by faith.
Six links have been broken, four remain.
The only time they will be broken is when
God breaks the chain.
