Matthew Ryan Brown, 46, a resident of Cornelius, passed away on September 18, 2022 in Gaston, Oregon.
Matthew was born on April 27, 1976 in McMinnville, OR. He was the younger of the two children of William and Sue Ann (Meisinger) Brown. He was raised in Cornelius and attended St. Matthew Catholic School in Hillsboro for grade school and Jesuit High School graduating with the Class of 1994.
Matthew and Cortney Loeffler were teenage sweethearts who reconnected later in life. They have a daughter together, Sadie, whom he adored.
Matthew had a love for motorcycles, cars, and pretty much anything with an engine. He starting working as a lot boy for Dick's MacKenzie Ford in Hillsboro when he was 15 years old. He attended Mt. Hood Community College as part of their Automotive Student Service Educational Training program. He graduated from Mount Hood Community College with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in 1997 where he received awards for outstanding academic performance. After graduation, he continued to work for MacKenzie Ford as an automotive technician. In 2006, he changed career paths and went to work for Tokyo Electron as a Fabrication Engineer based at Intel.
Matthew loved the outdoors. He loved camping and motorcycle or quad riding, whether at Glamis, the Dunes, or in the woods around his home.
What was most remarkable about Matthew, was the way he was with people. He was a charismatic man, who treated everyone he met as a friend. He was a helper and a problem solver. He looked for opportunities to help people, whether it was getting better internet service for his area, or pulling someone out of the mud or snow. He loved spending time with his friends.
He loved spending time with his family. He was a wonderful partner, son, brother, and uncle. He was playful, often taking time to play with his daughter and nephew.
He was a natural storyteller who remembered and retold stories, often filled with his great sense of humor and characteristic laugh.
He was a master at BBQ burgers and was the #1 omelet chef on Easter Sundays.
He is survived by his longtime love, Cortney Loeffler, his daughter Sadie, his parents, William and Sue Ann Brown of Cornelius, his sister and brother-in-law, Christina and Dean Hindman of Cornelius, his nephew Liam, his biological mother and 6 biological siblings.

My sincere condolences for your loss. I am saddened by his early passing. I worked with Matt for roughly 15 years before I retired from Tokyo Electron. He was a dedicated employee and a good engineer. I found him to be a very nice man liked by all. I pray that he is in Heaven surrounded by Jesus and His angels. I also pray that God´s blessing will be upon Matt´s family filling the void with love, peace, comfort and hope.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have heard nothing but great things about Matt from his co-workers and it very much lines up with what I read here.
