Matthew Rene Davidson, age 36 passed away on September 10th, 2023.
Matthew was born in Palm Beach Gardens, FL on April 28th, 1987 by his parents Brigitte & Michael Lex Davidson alongside his brother, Michael Davidson Jr. Matty, aka Mad Matty, grew up in Juno Beach, FL till moving to Montgomery, NJ in 1996 starting 4th grade there. Matthew then returned back to Florida to "graduate" from University of South Florida where he graduated with a business degree. Matthew soon met his soon-to-be husband Ben Lee and briefly lived in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. They eventually moved to Nashville, Tennessee and became divorced. Matty then fell in complete love with Nashville, Tennessee. Matthew lived in Nashville for 7 years where he fully embraced the city and especially the LGBTQIA+ community. One of Matthew's jobs in Nashville was working for the Music City Prep Clinic helping the community he loved. Matthew became a loving member and friend to many in the queer community until his sudden passing September 10th, 2023. Matthew died peacefully in his sleep.
Matthew is survived by his mother, father, brother, and grandmother as well as countless loved ones, friends, and acquittances. He brought a light and smile to countless more who only met him briefly or knew him through others. Matthew lived his life at full speed and welcomed one and all with a big smile and open arms. He will be remembered for the light he shined everywhere he went and will be forever missed by his very close and loving family. Matthew had a passion for his family, cars, fishing, cooking, tinkering, remodeling, remodeling again, pets, cards, gambling, and so much more.
Matty's life will be celebrated on Sept 23rd, 2023 at the Rainbow Room at Music City Prep Clinic from 1-4pm followed by cheers and drinks at Canvas next door after. There will be a live zoom session for those who cannot attend in person. The family is not asking for any donations but if you feel the need to donate in his honor we believe he would want you to donate to the Music City Prep Clinic and support the LGBTQIA+ community.
The Davidson family would like to personally thank all the love & support & messages we have already received and hope that Matty's spirit will live on through all of us. He was definitely taken way too early but the light from him shall shine on from now till beyond for us all.
Sincerely,
The Davidson Family
