Matthew F. Dougherty, aka MFD ARTIST age 51, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on May 23, 2024. Born in Darby, PA, he was the beloved son of Elizabeth K. Dougherty (nee King) and the late Pasquale A. Dougherty.
Matthew was the loving father of Eli Finn Dougherty and caring brother of William T. Dougherty and Marijo Marchiafava (spouse David). Also survived by his girlfriend, Jenni Broadwell.
Matthew graduated Upper Darby High School class of 91. Went on to Penn State with BS in Elementary Ed in 95 and then earned Masters from New York Academy of Fine Arts 2003. He is an artist in residence at Ginko Art Studio in West Chester Pa where he created his art, friendships, and ran the sketch club outings. He liked painting, sketching, karaoke and to Bunny Ear people in photos! Take everything with a sense of humor!! I will not die -I am an Artist!!
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30-10:30 on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 at Sacred Heart Church, 105 Wilson Ave, Havertown, PA 19083, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
