He was born in Ephrata, son of Philip and Coleen (Harris) Geyer and was the husband of Tina (Klopp) Geyer with whom he shared 20 years of marriage.
Matt was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved trapping. He enjoyed the outdoors, his dogs, and raising chickens. He was super friendly and genuinely loved people. More than anything, he loved his wife and daughters.
Matt (Mr. Matt) worked as a nature preschool teacher for Manheim Township.
In addition to his parents and wife, Matthew is survived by 2 daughters, Danielle and Justine, both at home; sister, Brooke, wife Patrick Saylor of Newmanstown, nephews Jared Saylor of Myerstown and Blakelee Saylor of Newmanstown, and brother, Marc Geyer, of Newmanstown.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in Matthew's memory may be made to Manheim Township, Parks and Recreation Office, c/o Matt Geyer 1241 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
Arrangements by Stradling Funeral Homes, Inc., Akron/Ephrata.
