Matthew Alan May, 48, died Tuesday September 23, 2025, in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky on July 19, 1977, to Cecelia Rose Spady Tallman and the late Jackie Dean May. Matthew worked as a painting contractor. He is survived by his wife, Stacy Dawson May, three sons, Cody May, Tyler May and his wife, Keira, and Austin May and his wife, Morgan, his mother Cecelia Rose Spady Tallman and his stepfather, Terry Tallman, three grandchildren, Isabella May, Tatum May and Hadley May, a brother, Frank Tallman, and three stepchildren, Gage Thornberry, Hunter Thornberry and Emily Thornberry. He is preceded in death by a son, Matthew Earl May and a brother, Greg May. The family has chosen cremation, and a service of remembrance will be held at his mother’s home at 1189 Taylor Ridge Road in Nicholasville, Kentucky on October 4, 2025, from 3-7:00 PM.
