Matthew Louis Nicholos

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew 'Matt' Louis Nicholos on March 15, 2025. Matt was born on June 11, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late James Louis Nicholos, and Ardel Brege Nicholos.
Matt is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lana Nicholos; daughters and sons-in-law, Emily Nicholos and Grant Wood, Amy and Christopher O'Donnell, and Heather and Calvin Wheeler; Sister and brother-in-law Rene and Michael Schlenker; Brother and sister-in-law Paul and Ilse Nicholos; and Granddaughter Holly Jean O'Donnell. He is preceded by his Granddaughter Dakota Nicholos.
Matt was a member of Rivercliff Lutheran Church for 45 years. He spent his 37 year career working in environmental services, most recently as a Senior Container Manager at Waste Management. He will be remembered for his commitment to faith in Christ, love for his family, and tireless work ethic.
A visitation will be held in his memory at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel on March 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We will gather for a Funeral Service at Rivercliff Lutheran Church on March 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will take place at Peachtree Memorial Park, where Matt will be laid to rest.
