Matthew Jay Purdy. Age 36 of Brownstown.
Loving father of Matthew Purdy, Jr. Beloved son of Denise (Tom) Mellin and Gary (Michele Carter) Purdy. Dearest grandson of Robert and Lynne Purdy, the late James and the late Lenore Pappas. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his girlfriend, Karlene Donofrio.
Cremation will take place at The On-Site Crematory, located within Molnar Funeral Homes - Brownstown Chapel.

I'm deeply sorry for his family and friends. I have so many good memories from school with him in it. I pray for his loved ones.

Matt was one of those kids growing up that was the smallest one in the group. He was one of the many that called me mom. I haven't been in the picture for many years but have followed these kids on social media and have been very proud of them all. He grew up with my son and my daughter was the little sister they all watched over.. I am so very sad and sorry that his little boy will grow up with only memories. And that Matt will not see his son grow to be a fine young man like himself. My thoughts and prayers for you all in this tragic time.
