Matthew Lavin Weld

Matthew L. Weld, age 42, died unexpectedly on 5/31/24 in New Hope, MN. He is survived by his beloved children Reno (10), Enzo (7), and Minka (4), wife Erin, and parents Paul and Ellen. He also leaves behind siblings Jason, Blake, and Bridget, as well as many other loving in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and friends. So many friends that have lifted his family up in the wake of this tragedy.
Matt loved music, the outdoors, laughing, fixing and building, sports, and adventure, but most of all, he loved his children. He was always planning their next trip or big surprise. Matt was a constant fixture at his kids activities and he spent countless hours setting up "kid fun" in the family backyard.
Memorial service is Sunday, June 9 at 2:00pm. Visitation is one hour prior. Luncheon to follow service. Washburn McReavy, 5000 West 50th Street. Edina, MN 55436.
Matt will be missed by so many. In his honor, we ask that you check in with loved ones that you haven't heard from in a while. Ask the hard questions; talk about mental health.
