Maude Kay David

Maude "Kay" (Leighty) David, 73 years old, of Morgantown, made peace with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 6th 2025. Kay was born October 17th 1951 to the late Jake and Anna (Mogyoros) Leighty in Osage, West Virginia. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Billy Ray Leighty.

Kay was an excellent cook and hosted many family dinners. She was happy to invite anyone to a spot at the dinner table. She spent most of her life working in the banking industry at various local banks. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years Raphael "Ralph" David Sr.; her children: Raphael David Jr., Jay and Daneal David, Jennifer and Jerry Dixon, Karen Moran, Robert David, and Michael and Haleigh O'Brien; her grandchildren: Natalie Dixon, Nona and Sadie David, and Conner, Lucas, Maddy, and Morgan O'Brien, who all referred to her fondly as "grandma"; her siblings Debbie Korte, Jake and Renee Leighty, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Kay will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.
